UFC on FOX 14 takes place Jan. 24 at the 30,000 seat Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. The event is headlined by Alexander Gustafsson vs Anthony 'Rumble' Johnson, who meet to decide the next Light-heavyweight contender. Tickets for the event go on sale November 28th. Misard Bektic vs Alan Omer is expected to take part on the events preliminary card.
Originally from Bosnia but now fighting out of American Top Team in Florida, 23-year old Mirsad Bektic, fights for the second time in the UFC having picked up majority-decision win over Chas Skelly at UFC on FOX 11. Undefeated in his pro career, the former RFA fighter has finished six of his eight wins inside the distance with 4 TKO victories and submissions. Although originally from Europe he has never fought outside of the USA.
One of the top featherweights outside of the UFC before making his promotional debut, 26-year old Omer picked up a decision loss to former Cage Warriors champion Jim Alers at UFC Fight Night 39 in April in his first outing. A former Bamma champion and Shooto fighter, Iraq born Omer has only been the distance twice in 18 victories with 6 TKO / KO fixtures and 10 submission.
