Anthony Rumble Johnson Suspended from the UFC indefinitely

In a crazy evening at the UFC offices which has seen Thiago Silva released from the promotion again, The UFC have announced they have also indefinitely suspended fellow Blackzillian Light-Heavyweight Anthony Rumble Johnson.

The suspension comes following allegations for the mother of Johnson's children that he physically assaulted her in 2012, knocking out 2 of her teeth. Brent Brookhouse of BloodyElbow.com was the first to reported the depth of the allegations, with the UFC since releasing the following statement:

"We are aware of the situation involving Anthony Johnson. As a result, we are suspending him indefinitely. We are using a third-party law firm to conduct a formal investigation and once we have more information, we’ll determine whether further course of action is necessary."

Winner of 8 straight fights including victories over Phil Davis and Antonio Rogerio Nogueria since re-joining the UFC earlier this year, Anthony Johnson was expect to fight top contender Alexander Gustaffson in his next outing in a bout that would have been considered a title eliminator match. Johnson has yet to elaborate on this issue but did release the following statment on Facebook:
