2015 IMMAF World Championships scheduled for UFC International Fight Week

The 2015 Amateur MMA World Championships have been announced for Las Vegas, Nevada (USA), as the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) hots the tournament for the second year running.

The Championships are slated to run during the fourth annual UFC International Fight Week, which will take place between 7-12 July 2015. This is due to the fan experience being billed as the world’s largest mixed martial arts celebration, which therefore guarantees people from all around the world to see the event, 'guaranteeing high-energy, all-star entertainment'. 

International Fight Week will be concluded by UFC 189 on July 11.

2014's edition was represented by 23 countries across five different continents in the first ever IMMAF Championships of Amateur MMA, which took place between 29th June and 5th July. 

The initial four days of the tournament took place in Cox Pavilion at the University of Nevada, the venue of The Ultimate Fighter 1 Finale; while the IMMAF tournament final was held inside the UFC Fan Expo at The Mandalay Bay. 

The venues and competition dates for the 2015 World Championships have yet to be announced, but are expected to be released in the near future.
