If you want to win a bit of money but you need some guidance then take a look at Kingdom MMA’s predictions, our ‘favourite five’ below, a few fighters who you may fancy picking.
1. Conor McGregor - $5200: The Notorious MMA superstar makes his Las Vegas debut as he takes on the toughest test of his career in Dustin Poirier, in a fight with huge future Featherweight title implications.
McGregor has the heart of a nation in his hands, and a loss at this point could be devastating, however the SBG Ireland fighter has derailed every challenge the UFC has thrown in front of him, including Marcus Brimage, Max Holloway and Diego Brandão. Opponent Poirier is on an equally as impressive run, with wins over Erik Koch, Brandão and Akira Corassani have bought these two on a collision course. With a war of words exchanged this heated battle is expected to light up Las Vegas in the people's main event.
2. Eddie Alvarez - $4500: Making the jump from Bellator MMA to the UFC, after over a year of awkward negotiations and court cases, Eddie Alvarez is finally set to make his debut on the big stage against top Lightweight contender Donald Cerrone.
Cerrone is riding a four-fight win streak, and is coming off a performance of the night win over Jim Miller back in July. Alvarez will be fighting in only his fourth fight in two years, after a lengthy legal battle with Bellator kept him sidelined. Considered the best Lightweight outside of the UFC, Alvarez now looks to topple fifth ranked Cerrone.
3. Dominick Cruz - $5700: The former WEC and UFC Bantamweight champion makes his triumphant return to MMA after a near three year lay-off. He faces five-fight win streak Takeya Mizugaki. Many have argued that should Cruz win he is next in line for TJ Dillashaw's Bantamweight title.
Japan's Mizugaki is on an impressive tear and a win over the former champion Cruz could send him into a potential title eliminator, or even a possible title shot. Having never actually lost the belt, Cruz needs a win to propel himself back into the spotlight. However having lost a large portion of his career through injury, many still wonder whether or not The Dominator can make a successful return.
4. Tim Kennedy - $4900: #6 Middleweight Tim Kennedy and #10 Yoel Romero fight in a match-up that will have a big impact on a potential top five ranking.
Despite a loss to Rafael Cavalcante in his Strikeforce debut, Romero received the call up to the UFC and has been unbeaten in four fights, with impressive wins including: Derek Brunson and Brad Tavares. Kennedy is riding a similar streak, however recently claiming the biggest scalp of his career with a dominating performance over Michael Bisping back in April.
Both fighters are great wrestlers so it may be a struggle on the ground, however the stand-up advantage gives Kennedy the edge.
5. James Krause - $4100: This event's wild card pick comes in the Lightweight division, as James Krause squares off with Jorge Masvidal.
Krause is coming off a controversial TKO win against Jamie Varner, who injured his ankle during the fight. Before hand, besides a lost to Bobby Green, Krause has racked up several wins since late 2007, four of them coming by submission. 12th ranked Masvidal is riding a two-fight streak, with wins over Pat Healy and Daron Cruickshank and a win against the non-ranked Kruase may not do much for his career, but helps him hold his position.
