Curt Warburton (13-6) has announced on twitter his plans to go up a weight class to fight at welterweight in 2015 following back to back losses to Stevie Ray this year. The losses to Ray mean the chances of Warburton getting another title shot at the Cage Warriors 155lb title anytime soon are very slim and even worse while Stevie Ray has the title.

Having recently lost the final fight of the trilogy with Stevie Ray earlier this month, questions were asked as to where Warburton would go from here. Well it looks like Warburton is taking the steps necessary to keep himself in with a chance of winning Cage Warriors gold in the future. That being said he will be stepping in to a stacked division full of contenders with guys like Danny Roberts, Mohsen Bahari, Gael Grimaud, Jake Bostwick, Tom Breese and Phillip Mulpeter all fighting to be the next contender in the division and that's without mentioning the dominant champion Nicolas Dalby.

Warburton will be looking to return to action and get back in to the cage around March time next year.
