Reigning champion Nicolas Dalby will defend his CWFC welterweight world title against Mohsen Bahari in the main event at Cage Warriors 74.

CWFC 74, which is scheduled for Saturday, November 15, 2014, will take place at the iconic Copper Box Arena in the Queen Elizabeth II Olympic Park in London, England.

Nicolas Dalby (12-0) was due to  defend his title vs Gael Grimaud at CWFC 72 who was forced to withdraw due to a back injury.

The title shot was then set to pass to the new number one contender, Danny Roberts, but the 27-year-old Englishman is currently sidelined with an injury and unable to compete as soon as November 15.

Dalby said: “Bahari is an exciting fighter who leaves it all in the cage, so I think he’ll make for a really tough opponent. He seems like a cool guy but it’s going to be action-packed when we lock horns at the Copper Box on November 15.

Mohsen Bahari (8-1), has scored two of his most significant wins of his career earlier this year, overcoming BJJ black belt Bruno Carvalho and three-time UFC veteran Benny Alloway.

Meanwhile, Tom Breese is set to make his return to CWFC against the sizeable task of Philip Mulpeter.

Tristar Gym's Breese (6-0) signed an exclusive CWFC deal in April 2013, and will now make his debut having undergone surgery and an extensive period of rehabilitation, long-term knee injury.

He said: “Philip Mulpeter is a solid opponent from a good team and he has improved a lot recently, but I’m looking to make a statement in my first Cage Warriors fight and show a much-improved Tom Breese.

Mulpeter (7-4), fighting out of SBG Ireland, has carved out a reputation as one of the most durable fighters in the welterweight division since signing for the promotion in 2012.

Having looked impressive in his two CWFC wins to date, which saw him defeat Warren Kee and Aldric Cassata via TKO, Mulpeter will be aiming to claim his biggest scalp yet on November 15.

“I’m looking forward to getting back in there and putting another ‘W’ on my record,” Mulpeter said.
