Middleweight contenders Lyoto Machida and Luke Rockhold are official for the UFC's New Jersey Fox show headliner on April 18th. The fight which takes place at the Prudential Center could also determine the next contender for the title.
Holding a 3-1 record since dropping down to middleweight, former UFC light heavyweight champion Machida has earned post-fight bonuses in each fight as the number three-ranked Brazilian knocked out Mark Munoz and CB Dollaway, decisioned Gegard Mousasi, and engaged in a 2014 Fight of the Year candidate with champion Chris Weidman.
Looking for his first UFC title shot, former Strikeforce middleweight king Rockhold was in impressive form in 2014, knocking out Costas Philippou and submitting Tim Boetsch and Michael Bisping to earn his spot at number five in a stacked middleweight division.
