The UFC are seeking a new opponent for John Moraga at UFC on FOX 13 after Brazilian flyweight Jussier Formiga has been forced to pull out with an injury.
According to Formiga's head coach Andre Pederneiras, the flyweight has suffered a knee injury, a partial LCL tear, and won’t be able to recover in time to compete for the Dec. 13 card. MMA Junkie first reported the news.
Moraga (15-3), is a former UFC title contender and will be coming into UFC on FOX 13 on the back of a submission victory over Justin Scoggins in September.
Taking place in Phoenix, UFC on FOX 13 is set to be headlined by Junior dos Santos vs. Stipe Miocic whilst in the co-main event, Nate Diaz returns against Rafael dos Anjos.
