Mixed martial arts is top of the bill in Dublin, Ireland again - this time it's Cage Warriors providing a night of hard hitting fights.

The co-main event  sees Irishman Philip Mulpeter (7-4) take on Jake Bostwick (15-8-1).

Bostwick has turned his career around and is looking to stretch his winning streak to nine.

In December 2009 Bostwick lost at UCMMA 9 to take his record to 7-8-1. Since? Well, he has drastically turned around his fortunes, winning eight straight fights, including going 3-0 for Cage Warriors.

Last time out he scored his biggest win to date - a majority decision win over Norway's former UFC fighter, Simeon Thoresen, at Cage Warriors 69 Super Saturday.

Bostwick said: "Beating Simeon was big for me but this next fight I believe is actually harder in the terms of it's his home country so he's got that confidence.

"He is an all rounder and will be hungry for the win. This fight has excitement written all over it and that's what's important to me, fighting the names can sometimes be boring so this should be real fun against the Irishman."

He added: "Mulpeter is a good fighter with a very mixed game.

"I think Mulpeter will feel the power and then work for the takedown but hopefully he  just stands in the pocket with me and trades off for the fans and make this Fight of the Night.

"I'm not particularly worried in anyway for Mulpeter just excited to know he will bring his A-game and make for a war."

Despite going for a ninth consecutive win, Bostwick claims he doesn't feel under pressure to keep the run going, saying: "Trying to keep the fight streak going is definitely difficult. But me going in to the fight hungry for the win has seemed to be enough to keep the streak going, so I will have the same mentality for this fight and I'm sure I'll come out victorious."

Going 4-0 in Cage Warriors may just prove to be enough to get a title shout somewhere down the line for Bostwick, who said : "Like I always say, I take one step at a time, meaning one fight at a time. The welterweight division is stacked and I'm sure I'm close to fighting for the belt but I'm not calling out names and plans for myself, I go with the flow and whatever Cage Warriors arrange for me."

Should he reach nine consecutive wins by beating the tough Irishman, Bostwick may be the next Brit to receive the all important call up. Cage Warriors has been a shining example of a promotion that gives fighters opportunities and then allows them to move on to bigger things.

One more win may seal a call up from the UFC. Bostwick said: "I do believe I am close to getting the call. Many fighters and fans are always saying it to me but getting signed isn't the biggest thing it's all about holding you place there.

"I do believe I can hold my place but have to wait and see what's next after this fight. I think I'm close, I just need the UFC to see that.

"Cage Warriors I believe is the best platform to be on and to push forward so I thank them for having me on there roster."

Cage Warriors 70 takes place this Saturday night at The Helix, Dublin.
